Turnover in NSE's futures & options segment increased to Rs 33,471.48 crore from Rs 32,155.44 crore on Monday, 1 Dec. 2008. Reliance Industries (RIL) Dec. 2008 futures were at premium at 1076 compared to the spot closing of 1073.95. State Bank of India (SBIN) Dec. 2008 futures were at premium at 1038.55 compared to the spot closing of 1037. NTPC Dec. 2008 futures were at discount at 157.15 compared to the spot closing of 160.15. In the cash market, the S&P CNX Nifty lost 25.10 points or 0.94% at 2657.80.

F&O expiry postponed to 28 Nov. 2008 (27 Nov.2008 10:10PM)

Futures & Options - The expiry of Nov. 2008 derivatives contracts has been postponed to Friday, 28 November 2008 after a series of major terrorist attacks in Mumbai late on Wednesday, 26 November 2008. The stock exchanges have announced that there will be no trading today, 27 November 2008, in the wake of the terror attacks. The Nov. 2008 derivative contracts were to expire today, 27 Nov. 2008. As per reports, the rollover of positions from Nov. 2008 series to December 2008 series in the S&P CNX Nifty stood at 47% by end of trading on Wednesday, 26 November 2008. The Nifty Nov. 2008 futures ended 2757.85 on Wednesday, 26 Nov. 2008, a premium of 5.60 points to spot closing of 2752.25 The stock exchanges also said that the settlements scheduled for today stand postponed to tomorrow.
